The Carlisle System: Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
Carlisle... the main moon orbiting the gas giant Zedalis. To the rest of the galaxy it appears as a minor world in the Inner Rim... a beacon of peace and civilization. In reality, it is a world rife with conflict. Despite attempts of the Old Republic to instill democracy, the world has long since returned to a fuedalistic society.
The Duke of Carlisle reigns over the entire system, while the the Lunar Barons each control one of Carlisle's five sister moons. All six moons are divided into provinces, each run by a Count. But there is never enough power or status to satisfy these nobles.
Each of these Houses, and even countless more that don't currently hold a title, vie against each other in a silent war of intrigue and politics. One mispoke word could send a House spirally down into anonimity, while a newly forged alliance could shift the balance of power in the entire system.
OOC: The Carlisle Setting, run by GM Jon Allen, provides an opportunity for in-depth social roleplaying in the form of the interactions of noble houses. Players get together in groups and create a noble House and assume control of one of the five 'colonial' moons. The Baron, along with the other players in his House, each attempt to further their House's aims... as well as their own personal agenda.
Two Houses have been formed, but there is room for many more. Do you have what it takes to play the Great Game?
